1806 Campaign in Poland:
As the French prepared to invade Poland in the Russians were spread out along the frontier in 6 divisions. The French invaded with 6 Corps also spread out along the frontier.

A battle was recently fought in Golyim, Poland between the Russians under MG. Essen and  the French under Marechal Lannes and his V Corps.
 

French forces consisted 22 infantry battalions, 48 guns and 42 squadrons of cavalry....roughly 33,000 men (3,300 figures)


Russians forces consisted 24 infantry battalions, 96 guns, and 75 squadrons of cavalry... roughly 31,000 men (3,100 figures)

The Russians also had dug 2 redoubts and occupied 2 villages and woods.
